I have a shoebox of shells in my closet that's made it through multiple moves. Three of the shells ended up as stickers! Originally painted in acrylic gouache on Arches hot press right in my Annapolis Valley studio, then printed as matte/vinyl/weatherproof stickers in Toronto.

Moon Snail Shell Sticker

I found a whole moon snail shell in Northport, PEI back when we lived there, and it's sat proudly on the shelf through two moves since. Moon snails are the ones that leave those weirdly perfect circular holes in other shells - they drill in and eat what's inside, which is both horrifying and impressive.

Blue Mussel Shell Sticker

My son can put away an entire platter of mussels by himself, no help, no regrets, and has been doing this since he was old enough to eat solid food. I love the different shades of blue you can find on mussel shells!

Atlantic Scallop Shell Sticker

This is an Atlantic sea scallop, not the common bay scallop you see on lots of seafood menus. The Atlantic sea scallop is larger, smoother, and flatter than common or bay scallop shells (these are the ones that are smaller, deeply cupped, and heavily ribbed).
