Slugs, moths, worms, ladybugs. A possum who is not having it. A luna moth who absolutely knows she's the main character. Small subjects, painted small, in acrylic gouache on paper - matte and flat and a little velvety.
I'm Stevie. I live in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, and I've been making things my whole life in one form or another. A few years ago, after a lot of changes and more than a few hard ones, I landed on critters and gouache and something finally clicked into place.
